Alyssa Milton, LMHC, LPC, LPCC QS, CPCS
Clinical Director
Alyssa Milton, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor, registered in the state of Florida (LMHC), Georgia, and Colorado (LPC), and Minnesota (LPCC). Alyssa has been working in the field of mental health since 2012, as she has experience as a Mental Health Technician, a case manager on the outpatient level, and a therapist. She has worked with various populations, including veterans, adults, teenagers, and children.

Focusing on "millennial" therapy, Alyssa will assist you in your life challenges. Alyssa works hard to improve one's quality of life. As a Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectal Behavioral trained therapist, including being trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Alyssa works closely with her clients to process daily life struggles, traumas, and abnormal behaviors.

Alyssa is a graduate of Florida A&M University with an undergraduate degree in psychology and she received her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Alyssa continues to work with other clinicians in the community through trainings and other treatment teams to meet client's needs and to increase professional development.

Alyssa has assisted with several mental health workshops, and has even been featured on TV One's Hit Show: "Fatal Attraction".

Jessica Candelo, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Jessica has been working in the mental health field since 2018. She has experience working as a case manager in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She specializes in substance use, depression anxiety and stress management. Jessica is a proud Marine Corp Veteran which also aided in her expertise with the military community. Jessica is also fluent in Spanish.


Ingrid Leitchmore, MS
Registered Mental Health Intern
Ingrid has been working with Alternative Directions Counseling since 2022 as she worked closely with the owner as a graduate student intern. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults that struggle with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, grief, and other life changes. Her goal is to provide you and your child with coping skills that will help you overcome any challenges.
